Making a Contract

When placing an order with Making a Statement jewellery you are entering into a contract for the purchase of a piece of handmade jewellery as described in the product details

By placing your order with Making a Statement Jewellery you agree to accept these terms and conditions, and the privacy and refund policies. 

This will become binding contract with our acceptance of your order which you will receive by email.

In the very rare circumstance that an ordered item is not available in the despatch time, If a pricing error has been accidently made, you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss the appropriate action (e.g. full refund, a substitute product incurring a part refund or extra payment as required).

These terms and conditions comply with current UK legislation and advice provided by www.gov.uk.

Contracts with Making a Statement Jewellery are subject to UK Law.


Returns and Refunds

The aim at Making A Statement Jewellery is to give complete customer satisfaction, however in the unlikely event that you are not fully satisfied with your jewellery or the service that you have received or after your goods have been received you change your mind then please read our returns policy carefully.  

If you change your mind

 

If when you receive your goods you have changed your mind in accordance with Distance Selling Regulations you must contact us in writing (by email or letter) within 7 working days of your receipt of the goods to request a refund.

Where applicable the cost of postage will be deducted from the refund. 

A refund will be carried out by us within 14 days of agreeing the return in writing.

If your jewellery is faulty

Great care and attention is taken into the packaging of your goods but if for unforeseen reason you goods arrive to you faulty you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving the goods.

In most cases a full refund, exchange or repair will be offered (depending on the time scale), this will be dealt with on a case by case basis.


If a refund is agreed

You must return the goods to us by recorded delivery, failure to do so is a breach of your statutory duty.

It is your statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods, until they are returned to us.

Any goods must be returned within 7 days of agreeing the return and must be securely wrapped, in the original packaging. (Gift box)

A refund will be carried out by us within 14 days of agreeing the return in writing.

We also recommend returning by Royal Mail special delivery as any damages or losses incurred during return may mean we are unable to refund you.

Refund will include the original postage cost only when applicable, but the customer will pay the cost of returning the item to us, unless it is faulty.

The refund process means money can only be refunded to the source originally used to pay.


Exceptions

We regret that for hygiene reasons earrings cannot be returned/refunded, unless there is a fault with the goods.

We regret that custom or bespoke goods (where jewellery is made to order to design or alteration is agreed between Making a Statement Jewellery and the customer) cannot be returned or refunded, unless faulty.

For any items judged to be damaged due to improper use or when reasonable care has not been taken by the customer, Making a Statement Jewellery  may claim against the customer for damages and breach of statutory duty. None of this affects the customer's right to a full refund.

Dispatch Times

If your order is urgent please contact us, as we may be able to get you order out to you the same day.

All jewellery at Making A Statement jewellery is handmade by myself often to order, and will normally be dispatched within 3-7 working days. This also applies to Special Delivery. Any estimated dispatch date is an estimate and may be quicker or slower due to the season but if you are unsure that your goods will not arrive in time please contact me and I will do my best to get your order out A.S.A.P..

I will email you to confirm dispatch of your order. You can then expect your item to arrive within 1-4 working days for UK addresses or longer for International orders. Every care is taken to ensure your jewellery order reaches you safely, and in a timely manner.

If you have commissioned a bespoke piece or requested an alteration, you will be given an estimated dispatch time when the design details are finalized. Some semi-precious stone beads may be sourced from other countries, and this may affect the completion date.

On rare occasions, your order may arrive in more than one delivery, this will be at no extra charge.

Items are delivered to the address you specify when ordering. Please ensure your address details are correct as we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of orders when incorrect address details have been provided by the customer.

I will not accept responsibility for loss or damage if you instructions have been left for the goods to be left at another location.

Please check your items on delivery and any goods found to be missing or damaged should be notified within 48 hours of receipt  in writing so I can resolve the issue quickly and too your satisfaction.

A paper confirmation of your order will be included in your delivery. This notifies you of the prices you have paid, our returns policy. Please specify in the 'special message' box when ordering if you would prefer this to be a gift receipt (without prices).
